This will be the 8th year of the Abingdon Motorsport CAR-nival and the 2004 event looks likely to be even better. This years Sprint will see a similar layouts and the Rally format will be slightly changed with 11-mile stages and only 1 split / merge junction. However after talking with competitors we have eliminated the 1 mile straight breaking it up with a testing ‘Bus Stop’ chicane.
As usual, the CAR-nival is a qualifying round of a large number of championships including the hugely successful Bigger Bites RALLY 2004 Tarmac Championship and the BP Motor Bodybuilders and Engineers Cotswold MSG Stage Rally Championship. In addition, the event is also a round of the ever-popular LCAMC Stage Rally and BK Competition Tyres AEMC Stage Rally Championships.

The CAR-nival weekend features rallying, Sprinting, Off-Road Driving, Autotest and Grass Driving Tests and a large Beer Tent & BBQ. Anyone wishing to stay for the weekend is welcome although you must appreciate that the facilities are ‘as a farmers field’. Camping and caravans are free of charge.
